Bing is Microsoft's search engine, designed as a direct competitor of Google. Compared to Google, Bing's market share is quite small: it only comprises about 7% of the world's total searches, while Google dominates with 81%. Microsoft claims the number is higher, with 1 out of 3 searches in the U.S. coming from Bing.

Regardless, Bing is the world's second most popular search engine, and has enough users to justify running ads on it.
